Order Status
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, HAVE YOU PAID FOR THE DELIVERY?
What is the status of my request? This is a common question without a simple answer. It all depends on how we are delivering your items to you. For most items we use 3PL (third-party logistics) partners like Canpar, Uniuni, UPS and others.
There are three exceptions:
- The first is our Ottawa deliveries which go out with a local delivery company.
- The second is big and bulky deliveries into the GTA-H and K/W regions which often are delivered with our drivers.
- The third are large palletized deliveries that are sent across Canada with LTL carriers (big trucks).
Here is the definition of the various status that we use:
- REQUESTED - This is the day the request for delivery was submitted to pkgPlace. The auction house is notified immediately when you make a request.
- PICKED UP - Once the items are picked up by our driver. This status shows that our driver scanned the boxes onto the truck and help manage missing boxes. The auction sees the live updates and can respond to any missing pick ups or items. Some requests are picked up in large quantities are marked directly into our warehouse, avoiding the 'picked up' status.
- WAREHOUSED - This indicates the item has been scanned into our warehouse. This is the beginning of the process to prepare the items for delivery to the final destination. It also marks a soon-to-be-ready for pick up. The warehouse is where most deliveries are invoiced to the customer. We also try to take a look at the items and make note of any damages that may be of concern.
- IN TRANSIT - Either with our own local delivery trucks or through a 3PL partner for final delivery. An order may be in transit for a few days depending on the delivery location.
- DELIVERED - That indicates that the items should be in your hands. If this is not the case please reach out to us.
DELIVERY WINDOWS
For most deliveries, we can expect the following:
- GTA-H - Generally the big and bulky are on our vans and will arrive at the end of the week. Usually Friday or Saturday. Smaller items will be shipped using partners and will arrive about 3 to 5 days after the invoice was paid.
- K/W, BRANTFORD - Generally the big and bulky are on our vans and will arrive at the end of the week. Usually Friday or Saturday. Smaller items will be shipped using partners and will arrive about 3 to 5 days after the invoice was paid.
- For most other destinations from Collingwood to Calgary to Chattanooga, we are using third parties and the delivery days will extend for each destination. Usually most items are delivered within 4 to 7 days after the invoice has been paid.
We do move items out the door with our partners on Monday and Thursdays and with our own trucks on Fridays and Saturdays if that helps you better understand the process.
With some 3PL partners, we have managed to integrate the tracking number right into our software. In the example below, you can click directly on the 'track shipment' and this should take you to the carrier's tracking webpage.

If you don't have the tracking link, it is because we do not have tracking access integrated with this delivery partner. We also do not have tracking for our own 'local' delivery trucks. Those deliveries are usually moved to 'in transit' status they day they go out.

If this does not help you find the status of your delivery, please reach out to us at coffee@pkgplace.com
